Senior Transport Planner

Seven logistics is looking for an experienced Transport Planner with strong communication skills, good customer facing and the ability to lead a team. As an experienced transport planner, you will have a wealth of knowledge to help support the day-to-day functions of the traffic office and ensuring our customers receive the best service we can offer.

Hours:

• 45 hours per week Monday to Friday and weekends on call as required

Roles and Responsibilities to include:

• Planning work from Felixstowe and London Gateway on allocated traffic sheet
• Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met
• Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels
• Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently
• Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly

Skills and Attributes Required:

• More than 5 years of experience in a planning role
• Ability to maintain a high level of traffic planning under pressure
• Knowledge of Tops preferred
• Understanding of port and VBS systems
• Knowledge of haulage and container industry
• Good customer facing skills
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good people and team building skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Can do attitude
• Good team player
• Ability to lead a team
• A driven, confident and motivated individual
• Excellent at problem solving
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable IT skills
