Senior Fleet Account Manager

Seven Asset are looking for a Senior Fleet Account Manager to join our team.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main Duties/Responsibilities to include

Customers
• Oversee a portfolio of existing customers and seek opportunities to add to the portfolio where possible through organic or external growth
• Be actively involved in the continued relationships with accounts under your management
• Manage customer expectations on VOR, liaising with our Fleet Support team while ensuring that vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum
• Be involved in regular customer meetings and form good working relationships with all customers
• Work with customers on new and renewal fleet requirements, including assisting with technical knowledge to provide the vehicle fit for its purpose
• To keep the relevant directors and line manager fully informed of all customer and supplier issues as soon as possible
• Carry out customer audits as and when required and create reports as necessary
• Resolve customer queries in a timely manner
• Carry out periodic Operators Licence checks

Internal/Engineering
• To work within the senior operations management team and to take responsibility for various activities as delegated
• To offer support and guidance to our Fleet Support Advisors with any technical and engineering knowledge, if needed through escalation
• To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of preferred suppliers
• To negotiate and maintain parts costs and labour rates to a satisfactory minimum
• Oversee extensive repair issues where the vehicles relate to your key account customers, and assist on others if required
• Be able to identify trends in repeated mechanical issues and progress investigations into these
• To understand the authorisation escalation process
• Provide periodic out of hours cover – senior escalation point
• To escalate any suppliers who are not performing to the required standards and manage/resolve the poor performance alongside the senior management team
• To maintain relationships with customers and suppliers alike
• To be a team player who assists and supports other colleagues
• To assist with checks on suppliers to ensure they are adhering to their SLAs for both parts and labour if escalated
• To maintain and improve a high standard of maintenance as defined by current road transport legislation and company standards
• To keep aware of industry standards and new design developments, making recommendations for efficiency and cost improvements
• To constantly seek ways of making the company more efficient and cost effective within the constraints of the budget
• Innovate and challenge the status quo
• May be required to assist with the collection and delivery of vehicles

Skills & Personal Attributes Required:
• Technical background in vehicle engineering
• Customer Account Management experience
• Excellent telephone manner and customer support skills
• Intermediate IT skills for using company operating systems
• To be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• To complete all tasks to a high standard
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Possess good all-round team player capabilities
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• High levels of attention to detail
• Management reporting
• Passion for a customer centric and people orientated based role
