Main Purpose of Job:

To effectively work on own initiative or within a team, rectifying faults and carrying out repairs.  Possessing competence in a range of trades to enable a wide range of duties, connected with repair, maintenance and renewal of our Residential and Commercial Property Portfolio.

Skills & Personal Attributes Required:

  • Ideally already have relevant site related experience or an NVQ Level 2 Building Maintenance, Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations or similar qualification
  • Good computer and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full clean driving licence

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Multi-skilled in carrying out instructions given by the Management team, working to a high standard ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Planning and organising materials required, driving vehicles and operating equipment required for the task
  • Updating work orders daily and following administrative procedures as directed
  • Responsible for maintaining H&S ensuring adherence to safe working practice and environmental procedures
  • Keeping vehicles and equipment clean and in working order, reporting any defects
  • Completing timesheets, claim forms and statutory checks as required
  • Communication with tenants, customers and members of the public in a polite manner with an emphasis on customer care
